Clearwater Park, Chestermere
Clearwater Park will be a 580-acre community located along Highway One in Chestermere that will add approximately 10,650 new residents and will host more than 3,500 homes.
The location along the highway gives the development easy access to other amenities in Chestermere and is within a half-hour drive to Calgary’s downtown. It is also conveniently located next to other major employment centres, such as the Balzac area with its CrossIron Mills shopping centre, Costco Wholesale, Amazon Fulfilment Centre and Walmart Canada Logistics, as well as being just over 20 minutes to the Calgary International Airport.
Chestermere is well prepared for growth. The city expropriated a huge amount of land from Rocky View County in 2009 in anticipation of at least 50,000 residences. That pushed the city’s eastern boundaries up against Calgary. Both municipalities have taken a collaborative approach to residential development and related infrastructure.
Clearwater Park is a visionary master-planned development that will provide a diverse and inclusive mix of residences including single-family and multi-family houses, single and multi-family residential leasing, senior’s campus, and neighbourhood retail, called Clearwater Landing. The development will also include storage and light commercial and recreation amenities, including water features, an 18,000 sq. ft. community clubhouse with an indoor swimming pool, school sites with playfields, skating rinks, tennis courts, and numerous walking paths.
